The Department of Psychiatry benefits from the generosity of community members, alumni and grateful patients who make philanthropic gifts to funds that support students and trainees, research, faculty members and clinical care teams. The department maintains numerous funds that provide short and long-term financial support to which gifts of all sizes are welcomed, including:
- Virginia Institute of Psychiatric Behavioral Genetics (VIPBG)
- Addiction Psychiatry Research Fund
- Rindler/Urbach Psychiatry Residents Education Fund
You can make a gift to these and other funds using a secure online form.
While these funds represent our current funding priorities, there are other funds that provide vital support to our department. You can make your gift to any existing fund at the MCV Foundation in a number of ways including:
- search for a fund by name and make your gift using this secure online form
- make an outright gift by check or credit card
- make a gift of appreciated securities
- make a planned gift
We invite you to learn more about how you can make your gift. If you would like to talk to someone about your ways to support the department’s education mission and our adult mental health initiatives and research, please contact Bernadette O’Shea at Bernadette.OShea@vcuhealth.org.
